With the experience acquired in the fields of cultural, environmental and ethnographic education, we promotethe synergies between the agricultural sector, the educational sector and the tourist sector, spreading the agricultural activity of the banana as a historical-cultural part of a territory, showing didactically the unique agronomic characteristics of the plantain crop, bringing closer to the local and foreign population, children and adults, the activities Socioeconomic factors that coexist in La Costa de Las Galletas (Arona).
We make Guided tours to know the nature and culture of banana for groups (and self-guided for independent people) with great educational content, through a small accessible route. At the end of the experience a break in El Cuartito is made, we taste bananas and complementary products. Also how the gofio is made in a traditional way is shown.
Since 2012, we have been carrying out these thematic visits to get to know the banana crop in the area of Las Galletas, Arona , not just for tourist but also so the local population, school children and young students from different countries can enjoy this experience too.
