“Not only do agricultures live from bananas, or the tourist from the sun and beach”

With the experience acquired in the fields of cultural, environmental and ethnographic education, we promote synergies between the agricultural sector, the education sector and the tourism sector, spreading the agricultural activity of banana as a historical-cultural , showing didactically the unique agronomic characteristics of the plantain crop, bringing the socioeconomic activities that coexist in the Costa de Las Galletas (Arona) to the local and foreign population, children and adults.

This process of agricultural expansion has coincided in time with the tourist development of the Tenbel-Costa del Silencio Urbanization, located next to the fishing village of Las Galletas, a pioneer in a quality model still in force and settled in an abrupt malpais, to which they respect as landscaped area.

The main characteristics of this agricultural operation is to achieve maximum productivity combining traditional cultural tasks and the application of modern techniques, under the agrarian model of Integrated Production.

In this farm 2 varieties of the Canarian banana, the large dwarf and the thick palm or small dwarf, of the variety Dwarf Cavendish, reaching an average of 45-50 kg per bunch, can be found exceed 70 klg. The cultivated area is approximately 8 hectares with 98% of bananas and 2% of fruit trees such as mango, papaya and avocado. It has a fourth of implements, THE QUARTER, enabled as a resting space, workshops, tastings, exhibition and shop.

Little by little we are consolidating this labor project, maintaining the simplicity and authenticity of an agricultural space. All of which leads to great satisfaction on the part of the people who visit us.
